Road to OmahaRun
The City of Omaha Parks, Recreation and Public Property Depeartment, College World Series, Inc. and the NCAA present a 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) run in conjunction with the 2011 Men's NCAA College World Series on Sunday, June 26, at 9 a.m. The net proceeds from the Road to OmahaRun will benefit the Omaha Parks Foundation and Omaha-area schools through the NCAA's Fund the Future partnership with DonorsChoose.org.
The cost is $25 for adults 19 years and older and $20 for participants 18 and under. Limited edition 2011 Road to Omaha Run T-shirts will be provided for those who register before June 17. On-site, (cash) registration will be available between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. the morning of the event.
The run will start near Lewis and Clark Riverfront Landing. Prizes, including game tickets and College World Series memorabilia, will be awarded to top finishers. Snacks and drinks will be provided following the race.
Organizers expect between 250 and 500 people to participate in this year's run. Registrations are currently being accepted on-line at www.NCAA.com/cws
