Jason Momoa recently joined the protest against a large observatory and telescope on the sacred Hawaiian mountain, Mauna Kea. Momoa wrote the message “TMT + Canary Islands = discovery” on his body while writing on his son’s body “TMT + Mauna Kea = desecration.”
*TMT stands for Thirty Meter Telescope*
Momoa explains that building the telescope on the Canary Islands would be “welcomed” and offer a better home for it. In his Instagram post he says “We are the unexpected we are the resistance we will never give up”
