Jason Momoa Says He Can’t Do ‘Aquaman’ 2 Due To TMT Construction

Jason Momoa announced on Instagram that he wouldn’t be filming Aquaman 2 due to his participation in the protests in his homeland of Hawaii due to the Thirty Meter Telescope construction. Momoa posted a picture of the construction site, which is said to be building on sacred land, with the caption saying, “Sorry, Warner Bros. We can’t shoot Aquaman 2 because Jason got ran over by a bulldozer trying to stop the desecration of his native land.”

Momoa is joined by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who also is supporting the TMT construction protest, during an interview on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last month Johnson said, “This is so much bigger than a telescope being built, this is humanity, these are human beings whose hearts are hurting, and I think any time situations like that come up… that’s our indication that we gotta stop.” Do you think there should be a law that prohibits building on land that is deemed sacred? Should Warner Bros. wait until Momoa is ready to film Aquaman 2?
