The holidays are my favorite time of the year. I start decorating for Christmas in October. I even lowkey listen to Christmas music in September. (NOT SORRY) There’s an energy felt in November and December that sparks something in me. I can’t really explain it.

My favorite part of the holidays are all the parties. I’m always looking for a fun cocktail and/or baked treat to bring when running around to friends’ and family’s houses. You need to pick up the December issues of HyVee’s Seasons Magazine.  This issue is PACKED with some of the BEST cocktail recipes I’ve seen in a while.

One of my favorite standouts isn’t anything NEW, but the garnish is EVERYTHING! Rose Cosmopolitan. I never think of making a cosmo, but I might have start rethinking that thought simply because Hyvee recommends garnishing the drink with cotton candy! DUH! How fun is that?!

Granted the Rose Cosmopolitan isn’t really meant for the masses; HOWEVER, the Red and Green layered shots ARE meant for the crowd! Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE a good jello shot recipe. This one is simple, but will easily WOW everyone.

Here’s a cocktail using something completely ON TREND…WHITE CLAW. haha! Trust me, I laughed, too. Now I may not have found this recipe in Seasons, but you can still pick up all the ingredients at your neighborhood Hyvee.

Black Cherry Limeade
1 can of Black Cherry White Claw
1 oz lime juice
1 oz grenadine or cherry juice
Serve over ice
HEY, if you want to keep it extra cold use a Moscow Mule mug!
