TikTok seems to be the place to find life hacks. Including the viral video of how to correctly fill an ice tray. Who knew there was a right or wrong way to use such a simple kitchen item?

So, the small flat spots on an ice tray aren’t there for looks but they serve a purpose. Instead of swaying the water back and forth to fill the tray. You run water on the flat spots and the water follows the direction of the grooves filling the tray completely and evenly.
