Michael Jordan is stepping up and helping those in need by making a $2 million donation to Feeding America and food banks around the country.
“In these challenging times and in a year of unimaginable difficulty due to COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to pause and give thanks,” Michael said in a statement. “I am proud to be donating additional proceeds from The Last Dance to Feeding America and its member food banks in the Carolinas and Chicago to help feed America’s hungry.”
There’s more! Some additional proceeds from Jordan’s ‘The Last Dance’ docuseries will be used to give meals to families in need giving them food security.
Feeding America is estimating that the amount of people looking for help from food banks has increased by 60 percent. This leaves about 50 million people uncertain about when or where their next meal will be coming from.
An incredible gift to be thankful for – NBA legend Michael Jordan is donating $2 million to help our neighbors facing hunger! #TheLastDance
