Heads up you will be shedding a tear or two after this one.
A bride and groom had a unique moment on their wedding day by surprising the mother of the bride (MOB). Luna (MOB), from New Zeeland was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer and early last year had been through surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment along with many medications. Luna’s daughter, Jony (bride) wanted to shave her head in solidarity ahead of her wedding day.
Her fiancé Alistair suggested they go one step further and both shave their heads at their wedding day itself.
The couple have opened a donation page, which will see funds raised go to a cancer society in their native New Zealand.
Sadly, two months after their wedding, Luna passed away on January 12 2021, with the couple continuing to share their story to raise awareness.
