TSA Allowing Certain CBD Oils on Flights

The Transportation Security Administration has loosened its restrictions and will now allow passengers to travel with certain kinds of CBD oil.

The Associated Press points out that the regulations specify that only certain kinds of oil “produced within the regulations defined by the law” defined by the 2018 Farm Bill are legal to be carried on or put in checked luggage.

The TSA also changed its regulations in response to a marijuana-derived epilepsy drug, Epidiolex, that became FDA-approved in 2018.

However, any other marijuana products, including THC- or cannabis-infused products, as well as weed itself, are still banned from airplanes.
