How far are you willing to go for the sake of your newborn? Maybe as far as U.S. paratrooper Tony Traconi of Texas.

Traconi was stationed overseas in Italy for the birth of his son. This paratrooper had one wish for the birth of his son, and he wasn’t going to let anything get in the way. The wish? Well, it was having his first-born son born on Texas soil.

He spent over $200 to have Texas soil air-mailed to him so he could put it underneath his wife’s hospital bed.

“I spent over $200 on shipping costs for dirt from Texas. The plan is to hide it under the hospital bed so when my wife gives birth my son will be born over Texas land. To be able to say my son was born over Texas is priceless to me.”

It gets better. Traconi held onto the soil until his son was old enough to take his first picture on it.

Talk about Texas pride! Congrats to the parents.
