Miller Lite and New Balance have teamed up for a sneaker designed just for your beer, with the first-ever koozie sneaker, The Shoezie.
The companies have come together to celebrate Father’s Day with a unique beer holder based on New Balance’s classic 624 Trainer a.k.a. their “Dad Shoe.” The Shoezie features the same materials used to produce the actual sneakers. That includes “rubber sole and breathable leather.” The design is also “nearly identical” to the 624 Trainer. Only instead of a human foot, this one holds a beer, keeping it cold and safe from slippery surfaces.
“As The Original Light Beer, we are proud to celebrate all things beer and all things dad, and the Shoezie does just that,” said Sofia Colucci, Vice President of Marketing, Miller Family of Brands, in a statement. “When we dreamed up the Shoezie, there was only one brand to bring it to life and that was the maker of the classic ‘Dad Shoe,’ New Balance. Together we want to thank all dads out there for keeping the grass cut, grilling those perfect meats, agreeing to the family dog, and of course raising a Miller Lite, one can at a time.”
Fans (age 21+) can try and snag their own limited-edition sneaker kooize by visiting www.TheShoezie.com on Father’s Day, June 20. The giveaway starts at 9 a.m. CT and runs for 12 hours.
