Like so many Americans, I remember where I was when I heard the news.
Second row in my Current Events class.
Another student walked in the doors and said, “Did you hear about the plane that hit a building in New York just now?”
My teacher was confused. We had a television in our room because it was a Current Events. We sat there watching CNN…silent.
Then the second plane hit.
Eighteen years later, I’m still left speechless. My eyes still tear up. My heart still breaks.
While years have passed, I will never forget.
We will NEVER FORGET.
